Victoria University of Wellington
In Wellington, New Zealand, there is a public university called the Victoria University of Wellington (Mori: Te Herenga Waka). It was a constituent college of the University of New Zealand and was established in 1897 by an act of parliament.
The university offers a wide variety of other courses in addition to its well-regarded programmes in law, the humanities, and some scientific fields. All first-year courses are open to enrollment, but some programmes (like those in law, criminology, creative writing, architecture, and engineering[8]) have restrictions on second-year enrollment.
Candidates must hold a master’s degree with a research component or a first-class honours degree from an accredited university to be eligible for the scholarship. They must also be enrolled or intend to enrol in a doctoral programme at Victoria University of Wellington, and they must meet the university’s English language proficiency requirements.
Wellington Doctoral Scholarship
The scholarship is fiercely competitive, and candidates are judged on the strength of their research potential, academic record, and research proposal. Every year, applications for the scholarship are typically accepted from September through October, with the recipients notified in December.
Visit the Victoria University of Wellington website if you’re interested in learning more about the Wellington Doctoral Scholarship and how to apply.
