Swedish university Mälardalen University, sometimes known as MDU, is situated in the cities of Västers and Eskilstuna. Benefits of Mälardalen University Scholarships

Each year, a small number of scholarships are made available by Mälardalen University to applicants who choose a Master’s degree as their top preference.

If you follow the standard study schedule (minimum 22.5 credits per semester, minimum 45 credits per academic year), the scholarship will pay the entire program’s tuition costs. Living costs are not included in the scholarship. You will no longer be eligible for the scholarship if your enrollment status changes throughout the program’s study year from paying to not paying.

Criteria

  • The award is intended for exceptionally deserving students from non-EU/EEA/Switzerland countries who must pay tuition.
  • Typically, candidates had to have applied to Mälardalen University and been given a spot in a program that qualified them.
  • Scholarships are commonly provided for master’s degree programs.

Non-Eligibility

Students from the twelve nations with which Sweden has long-term development partnerships are NOT eligible for the award. Instead of doing this, students from these nations should apply for the Swedish Institute Study Scholarship. The countries that are not eligible for the Mälardalen University Scholarship:

Bangladesh, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia

The deadline for receiving supporting materials for education applications and Mälardalen University Scholarships is 3 February 2025. The MDU scholarship’s next application process will begin in mid-October 2025.
