Eligibility
Through the Schwarzman Scholars Program, prospective global leaders with outstanding leadership abilities, academic distinction, and the capacity to overcome cultural barriers are to be identified and nurtured. In order to qualify for the program, candidates need to fulfill the following requirements:
- Age Requirement: As of August 1st of the Schwarzman Scholars enrollment year, applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 28 years. For the 2025–2026 class, this indicates that applicants must have been born between August 1, 1995, and August 1, 2006.
- Education: Before enrollment, candidates must have earned an undergraduate degree, or its equivalent, from an authorized college or university. Any discipline is welcome, and there are no restrictions on the undergraduate program.
- Academic Excellence: Academic excellence is required of applicants, as evidenced by their stellar academic records, honors, awards, or other academic recognition.
- English Language Proficiency: Since English will be the primary language of instruction, applicants must have high English language proficiency. If the candidate does not speak English as their first language, official test results for English proficiency must be included with the application.
* If a candidate attended an undergraduate school where English was the predominant language of instruction for at least two years of their academic degree, an English efficiency test is not required. Applicants with a Master’s degree or above who have studied English for two years or more will also be exempt from this requirement.
