Undergraduate Scholarships for Applicants from Outside the United Kingdom
There are multiple Undergraduate International Scholarships at the University of Dundee that are designed to support international students applying for bachelor’s degrees. These scholarships are available across multiple regions, including South Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas, and aim to make studying in the UK more accessible through partial financial support.
Benefits
The scholarships offer partial tuition fee reductions rather than full funding. Awards typically range from £1,500 up to £7,500 per year, depending on the specific scholarship and academic performance. Some scholarships provide support only in the first year, while others continue throughout the duration of the program.
Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must be classified as international (overseas fee-paying) students and hold an offer for an undergraduate course at Dundee (excluding some programs like Medicine or Dentistry). Academic merit plays a key role, with higher awards often given to students achieving strong results such as AAB or equivalent qualifications. Eligibility may also depend on the applicant’s country of residence.
Deadline
Deadlines vary depending on the scholarship and intake, but for the September 2026 intake, most scholarships have a closing date of 28 August 2026, and for the January 2027 intake, the deadline is 31 January 2027. Applicants should check specific scholarship requirements and apply early to maximize their chances.
Undergraduate Scholarships for Applicants from Outside the United Kingdom
Postgraduate scholarships for applicants from outside the United Kingdom
The Postgraduate International Scholarships at the University of Dundee include a variety of funding options for international students enrolling in Master’s programs. Rather than a single award, Dundee offers multiple scholarships based on academic merit, region, and student background, helping reduce the overall cost of studying in the UK.
Benefits
These scholarships mainly provide partial tuition fee reductions, with values typically ranging from £1,500 up to £10,000 depending on the award. Some of the major options include the Global Excellence Scholarship (up to £8,000), Vice Chancellor’s Scholarships (£4,000–£6,500), and GREAT Scholarships (£10,000). In rare cases, external awards like the Chevening Scholarship may cover full tuition, living costs, and travel.
Criteria
Applicants must be classified as international (overseas fee-paying) students and hold an offer for a postgraduate taught program at Dundee. Most scholarships are merit-based, requiring strong academic performance such as a UK 2:1 or equivalent. Some awards are region-specific (e.g., South Asia, Africa), while others may consider alumni status or family connections to the university. Importantly, many scholarships are awarded automatically, with no separate application required.
Deadlines
Deadlines vary depending on the scholarship and intake, but for the September 2026 intake, most postgraduate scholarships have deadlines of 28 August 2026, and for the January 2027 intake, the deadlines are 29 or 31 January 2027. Applicants are encouraged to apply early and secure their admission offer in time to be considered for available funding.
