Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarships for Domestic and International Students:
The University of New South Wales is presently accepting applications for a number of fully funded Masters and PhD scholarship places through the Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP)Scholarships. The Australian government provides funding for these scholarships, which can be used for both domestic and foreign students enrolled in research-based postgraduate programs, such as Ph.D. and Research Masters’s degrees. The RTP/RTPI scholarships provide for tuition as well as living expenses.
The University of New South Wales would offer the successful applicants of the Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP)Scholarships complete tuition assistance, a living stipend of $35,000 per year (2023 rate), and an Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). For PhD students, the fellowship is offered for 3.5 years, and for research master’s students, it is offered for 2 years.

University International Postgraduate Award (UIPA)
UNSW adds funding to the University International Postgraduate Award (UIPA), which is sponsored by UNSW. For qualified international students planning to pursue a Master’s or PhD by research at the University of New South Wales, the University International Postgraduate Award (UIPA) is a fully supported grant. All academic disciplines at the university are eligible for the scholarships. At the time of applying for admission to a research degree program, applicants can submit an application for the scholarships.
The UIPA scholarships are offered for 3.5 years for PhD students and 2 years for research master’s students. Successful applicants would receive a living stipend of $35,000 annually (2023 rate), complete tuition support, and Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).

UNSW-CSC Scholarship
Chinese nationals who have received a UNSW Tuition Fee Scholarship (TFS) in the joint UNSW/CSC Doctoral Degree Program are eligible for this scholarship. Only PhD candidates who intend to begin their studies at UNSW in Term 3 each year are eligible for this scholarship. Apply for admission to UNSW and a UNSW-CSC scholarship before the scholarship deadline first. The next step is to submit an application to the CSC if you get an unconditional offer of admission and a scholarship from UNSW.
