   • The applicant must be a current and selected representative member of a sport (individual or team) in which UOWD fields an official team or competes regularly.
   • Eligible sports include:
     • Football
     • Basketball (Men’s and Women’s)
     • Volleyball
     • Table Tennis
     • Cricket
   • The applicant must compete at the emirate/state, national, or international level, and the sport must be sanctioned by an official governing body (association, federation, or committee).
2. Academic Requirements:
   • Master’s Applicants: A GPA of at least 3.0 out of 4.0 (or equivalent) is required.
   • Admission & Enrollment: Applicants must meet all academic and admission criteria and intend to enroll in the semester for which they applied.
3. Commitment to the UOWD Team:
   • If awarded the scholarship, the applicant must become an active member of the UOWD team in the sport for which they received the award.

Note: Sports scholarships are primarily offered in the Autumn trimester, with any remaining balance allocated in Spring and Summer.
