BI Scholarships for Bachelor Applicants

In order to assist international students in completing their undergraduate degrees, BI Norwegian Business School awards scholarships to applicants for bachelor’s degrees. For applicants seeking bachelor’s degrees, numerous scholarships are offered, including:

Bachelor International Scholarship

If the student maintains the academic progression requirements for scholarship awardees, the Bachelor International Scholarship will cover 50% of tuition costs for up to three years.

Eligibility
  • This fellowship is open to non-Norwegian foreign applicants having a background in international education.
  • Applicants who submit an application and are accepted into one of the following programs:
    • Bachelor of Business Administration
    • Bachelor of Data Science for Business
    • Bachelor of Digital Business

BI International Baccalaureate Scholarship

If the student continues to meet the criteria for scholarship awardees in terms of academic progression, the BI International Baccalaureate Scholarship will pay 100% of tuition costs for up to three years.

Eligibility

  • Only applicants with a minimum of 33 IB points (final or anticipated grades) are taken into consideration.
  • candidates with citizenship in Norway or other countries in the EU, EEA, or Switzerland.
  • candidates from outside Norway with ties to Norway who are qualified for Lnekassen.
  • Applicants who submit an application and are accepted into one of the following programs:

The Women in Finance and Tech Bachelor Scholarship

The Women in Finance and Tech Bachelor Scholarship seeks to motivate deserving female candidates to complete their undergraduate degrees and enter the field of finance or technology. With the help of this scholarship, deserving female candidates can be encouraged to pursue jobs in industries where there is a gender gap.

If the student meets the standards for scholarship recipients’ academic growth, the Women in Finance and Technology Bachelor Scholarship will pay all tuition costs for up to three years.

BI Scholarships for Master of Science applicants

A number of BI scholarships are available to Master of Science candidates from Norwegian Business School. These scholarships are created to draw in brilliant and driven applicants from all across the world.

BI Presidential Scholarship

BI Presidential Scholarship is awarded to candidates accepted into any MSc program at the Oslo or Bergen campuses with outstanding academic records.

Benefits of the BI Presidential Scholarship

Residents of Norway who apply from abroad and from Norway: If the student meets the criteria for academic progression, scholarships will pay the whole tuition costs for each semester for up to two years.

Sivk applicants: If the student meets the criteria for academic progression, scholarships will pay the full tuition costs for each semester for up to two years.

International applicants: If you meet the conditions for academic progression, scholarships will pay your entire tuition as well as a stipend each semester for up to two years. The stipend is intended to help with living expenses but only covers about 70% of them.

Eligibility
  • For consideration, candidates must have a minimum overall GPA of “A” on the ECTS scale or the comparable top grade on an international grading scale.
  • The Sivk program’s third-year students are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates with Norwegian nationality or dual citizenship with the EU, EEA, or Switzerland.
  • Candidates from outside Norway who are eligible for Lnekassen and have ties to Norway.
  • Candidates accepted into a Master of Science degree program at the campus in Oslo or the campus in Bergen, excluding the BI-Luiss Joint Masters in Marketing.

Master of Science International Scholarship

For up to two years, the Master of Science International Scholarship will pay all tuition costs. March 1 is the application deadline. A whole application for admission, including a scholarship application, must be uploaded to the online application portal by international applicants.

Eligibility
  • Candidates with outstanding academic records and citizenship from the EU, EEA, or Switzerland.
  • candidates from outside Norway with ties to Norway who are qualified for Lnekassen.
  • Candidates must be accepted into a master’s program in science.
  • The MSc International Scholarship will also be considered for applicants who submit an application for the BI Presidential Scholarship.

A. Wilhelmsen Foundation Scholarship

The A. Wilhelmsen Foundation scholarship seeks to assist international students in paying for their studies in Norway. The applicant must submit an application for admission to the BI Norwegian Business School’s Master of Science program and be accepted in order to be considered for this grant. applicants who are citizens of nations other than Norway. The Baltic region, Portugal, and the Caribbean are just a few of Wilhelmsen’s various regions of operation. These candidates are particularly urged to apply.

BI–Luiss Joint Masters in Marketing Scholarship

given to candidates accepted into the BI-Luiss Joint Masters in Marketing program at the BI Norwegian Business School and Luiss University who have excellent academic records. The scholarship will pay for either one or both program years’ worth of tuition. This fellowship is open to applicants with Norwegian citizenship or other nationalities.

Women in Finance and Tech Master Scholarship

The Women in Finance and Tech Scholarship was created to encourage deserving women to pursue graduate degrees and careers in finance or technology. If the student continues to meet the standards for scholarship awardees in terms of academic progression, the Women in Finance and Technology Master Scholarship will pay all tuition costs for up to two years.

  • excellent academic prospects who are women
  • female candidates with nationality from the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, or with dual citizenship.
  • Female candidates from abroad who have connections to Norway and who are eligible for Lnekassen.
  • female applicants who submit an application and are accepted into one of the following programs:
    • MSc in Business with a major in Finance (Campus Oslo and Campus Bergen)
    • MSc in Business with a major in Sustainable Finance
    • MSc in Business Analytics
    • MSc in Data Science for Business
    • MSc in Finance
    • MSc in Sustainable Finance
    • MSc in Quantitative Finance
  • Applicants must be female and in their third year of the Sivk program.

BI Scholarships for Executive Master Applicants

BI scholarships are available for the following executive programs:

Executive MBA Scholarship

If the student meets the conditions for academic development, the Executive MBA Scholarship will be taken from the final installment and will provide a 25% tuition cost discount. Candidates for the Executive MBA program must meet eligibility requirements and submit a full application. By December 1, you must submit a full admission application, including your scholarship application.

Executive Master of Management in Energy Scholarship

If the student meets the conditions for academic development, the Executive Master of Management in Energy Scholarship will be taken out of the final installment and will provide a 25% tuition discount. By December 1st, you must submit a full admission application, including your scholarship application.

BI Scholarships for PhD Programs

The doctoral program lasts four years full-time and includes 25% teaching obligations in order to earn a PhD. The PhD program at BI does not charge tuition. However, you must have funds in order for your application to the PhD program at BI to be taken into consideration. There are three different ways of funding your PhD at BI.

Open scholarship

These awards are only made public once a year, between November and January. Since the scholarships are open, your PhD will not be tied to a particular topic but rather must fall under one of the six BI specializations.

Scholarship linked to a research project

These scholarships are occasionally announced. The research project must be directly related to your doctoral study and dissertation. Typically, finding a supervisor is not necessary before applying.

Industrial PhD

An industrial PhD is a doctoral degree that is completed with the help of business and industry, BI, and academic institutions. The same prerequisites for admission apply to industrial PhDs, which are also regarded as full-time programs. The agreement between BI and the employer covers both money matters and time spent at BI and the employer.

Criteria

To apply for BI Scholarships, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

  • The only candidates who will be taken into consideration are those who have been accepted into a Master of Science program and who have submitted their applications as directed.
  • Scholarship requests will only be taken into consideration after the admission offer has been accepted.

Application Procedure

You must upload a complete application for admission to the online application portal, including your BI Scholarships application. Scholarship requests submitted through email will not be considered. You may submit more than one scholarship application, however, BI Norwegian Business School will only fund one per candidate.

  • Along with your admissions application, submit a scholarship application.
  • Explain in a one-page maximum scholarship application letter why you should be awarded the scholarship. BI Scholarships are given out based on academic ability rather than financial need.
  • Upload it to the ‘Scholarship’ portion of your admissions application online.
  • Include all the paperwork needed to be examined for admission to a master’s degree in science. Only once a complete application for admission has been filed and the admission offer has been accepted will the scholarship application be taken into account.
  • Students enrolled in the Sivilkonom program at BI who are currently in their third year may apply in the spring of their third year by sending a letter of application for a scholarship to info@bi.no with the subject line: BI Presidential Scholarship Application.
  • The MSc International Scholarship will also be considered for international applicants who apply for the BI Presidential Scholarship. There is no need for a separate scholarship application letter.
