Sabanci University

Sabanc University, founded in 1994, is a young foundation university situated on a 1.26 million square meter campus approximately 40 kilometers from Istanbul’s city center. Sabanci University Scholarships for Prospective Graduate Students
For graduate scholarships, your academic background (previous BA, GPA scores, reference letters, etc.) and test results (GMAT / GRE Results, etc.) are evaluated in accordance with the required criteria during the admission process. If you are deemed eligible, various types of scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the Sabanc University Scholarship Committee. There are several graduate scholarship opportunities available to international students. Every year, many students receive various types of scholarships.

Engineering & Natural Sciences (FENS) Graduate Programs
FENS provides graduate students with various financial aid and scholarship options based on their qualifications, including Full Scholarship, Project Scholarship, TÜBTAK BDEB Scholar Support, Tuition Fee Exemption, and Prestigious Faculty Fellowships. Under a full scholarship, the award will cover all expenses for pursuing a degree in Turkey.

Scholarship Option Offered During Studies
Please remember that you can request scholarships if you complete at least two semesters as an SU with outstanding grades. Scholarships can be awarded at the end of each academic year to students who have met the specified level of success (who have completed at least one academic year except Foundation Development Year with higher academic standing). Every year, the University Administration and Scholarship Committee evaluates the scholarships awarded at our university, and new quotas, scopes, and conditions can be established.

How to Apply for Sabanci University Scholarships
The Sabancı University Scholarships are usually awarded during the admission process, meaning you do not submit a separate scholarship application in most cases. When you apply for admission, you are automatically evaluated for scholarships by the university’s scholarship committee.
1. Choose Program and Check Requirements
First, select a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program at Sabancı University and review its requirements.
Common eligibility factors considered by the scholarship committee include:
- Academic transcripts and GPA
- Standardized test scores (SAT, GRE, GMAT, etc., depending on program)
- English proficiency test results (IELTS/TOEFL if required)
- Letters of recommendation
- Statement of purpose or motivation letter
- Awards, Olympiads, research experience, or extracurricular achievements
These documents are used to determine both admission and scholarship eligibility.
2. Submit the Online Application
Applications are completed through the university’s online admission portal.
Typical steps:

5. Admission and Scholarship Decision
Applicants receive:
