The TaiwanICDF Scholarship Program was started by the Taiwan government through the International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF). Benefits of the TaiwanICDF Scholarship Program

Within the specified award term, each student will receive a full scholarship from the TaiwanICDF, which includes round-trip flights Airfare, lodging, tuition, credit fees, insurance, textbook costs, and a monthly stipend.

Monthly Stipend:

  • Undergraduate: NT$15,000 per month
  • Masters: NT$18,000 per month
  • PhD: NT$20,000 per month

Criteria

To apply for the TaiwanICDF Scholarship Program, candidates should fulfil following criteria:

  • Applicants for the TaiwanICDF Scholarship must be citizens of one of the nations listed on the List of Eligible Countries.
  • Also, candidates need to fulfill the requirements outlined in the ROC (Taiwan) National Immigration Agency’s Regulations Governing Visiting, Resident, and Permanent Residency of Aliens.
  • Provide the relevant paperwork to the Taiwanese Embassy, Consulate General, or Representative Office that is located in your nation, if applicable.
  • An applicant may only submit an application for one program at a time.
  • The applicant must additionally submit a separate program application to the universities of their choice.
  • Depending on the program’s instruction language, proficiency in either English or Chinese is required. Test results for language competency, such as the TOEFL or IELTS, may be required from applicants.

Documents/Material Required to Apply

Following documents are required to apply for the Fully Funded TaiwanICDF Scholarship Program

  • Application: The TaiwanICDF website has a completed and signed application form.
  • Proof of Nationality: Typically, the applicant’s passport photocopy is needed.
  • Highest Education Certificate/certificate: A certified copy of the candidate’s most recent degree or certificate.
  • Official transcripts from each university or college attended are available. Certified or notarized copies are required for these.
  • Language Proficiency Certificate: TOEFL or IELTS results may be required of applicants for programs taught in English. HSK scores may be necessary for programs taught in Chinese.
  • Two or three recommendation letters attesting to the applicant’s academic or professional qualifications from professors or employers are usually required.
  • A thorough study plan or research proposal that outlines the applicant’s desired research or study path during the scholarship time.
  • A health certificate, typically issued by a physician, attests to the applicant’s excellent health.
  • Additional Supporting Documents: These could be a passport-sized photo, a curriculum vitae (CV), a proof of employment history (if needed), and any other documents unique to the program of choice.
