Located in Padua, Italy, the University of Padua is a public research institution. It is the second-oldest university in Italy and the fifth-oldest university in the world. It was formed in 1222 by a group of professors and students from the University of Bologna who had previously moved to Vicenza.

Department of Cultural Heritage: Art, Cinema, and Music History and Archaeology
- In honor of Cesare Pinton, one scholarship for a master’s degree in applied sciences will be awarded to cultural heritage objects and locations.

Department of Land, Environment, Agriculture and Forestry (TESAF)
- 3 scholarships for the Master’s degree in Forest Science
- Each scholarship is worth €6,000.00 for the school year. The award is valid for a single academic year.
Department of Mathematics “Tullio Levi-Civita” (DM)
- Two scholarships are available for cybersecurity master’s programs.

- 2 scholarships for the Master’s degree in Human Rights and Multi-level Governance

The amount of each scholarship is € 5,760.37. The Scholarship is granted for one (1) academic year.

Criteria
The candidates can apply for the University of Padua Departmental Scholarships if they:
- are not citizens of Italy (unless they are dual citizens with Italian citizenship);
- possess a foreign secondary school diploma (for applicants pursuing a bachelor’s degree) or a foreign bachelor’s degree (for applicants pursuing a master’s degree);
- not living in Italy already;
- submit an application for one or more of the aforementioned degree programs that are offered entirely in English. Recall that you are able to apply to three different degree programs.

2. Padua Fee Waiver Scholarships

Full Tuition Fee Waiver
The University of Padua provides students enrolled in one of its fully English-taught degree programs 100 percent tuition fee waivers. There are fee waivers available for one academic year and can be renewed. You will only be required to pay the first installment of tuition; the second and third installments are waived.
Talented foreign applicants from all over the world who have completed their prior degree outside of Italy and want to enroll in one of the University of Padua’s English-language degree programs are eligible to apply.
Partial or Total Fee Waivers for Low-income Students
The University of Padova offers a number of full and partial tuition fee exemptions, including the following:

Fee Waivers Reserved for Part-time Students
Students who feel they can only study part-time for health reasons, employment or family obligations, or other reasons, may choose to be part-time students. This option is only available for two academic years, during which time you can earn up to 72 credits. Furthermore, it is renewable, meaning that the maximum length of a part-time study period is twice the typical length of the course of study.
The payment of stamp duty, regional tax, and 60% of the tuition paid by students enrolled in the same full-time course is mandatory for part-time enrollment for each academic year.

3. Padua International Excellence Scholarship
For highly capable prospective students who want to study for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree entirely held in English at Padua, the University of Padua provides 59 scholarships. The scholarship program has a strict selection process. Scholarships will only be awarded to applicants with the best records in school and academics. It will be expected of successful scholars to represent the university on various occasions and to take on an ambassadorial role.
Benefits of the Padua International Excellence Scholarship
The scholarship value is €8,000 (gross amount) with a fee remission for each academic year. The sole annual payment required of benefit students is an entry fee equal to the regional tax plus marca da bollo.
The maximum period of the Padua International Excellence Scholarship is:
- 2 years straight for candidates seeking a master’s degree;
- 3 years straight for candidates pursuing a bachelor’s degree or a single cycle.
Application Procedure
If you meet the standards below, you may be considered for the selection procedure, but failure to do so will result in exclusion.
- not be an Italian citizen (unless they are dual citizens with Italian citizenship);
- possess a foreign secondary school diploma (for candidates seeking bachelor’s or single-cycle degrees) or bachelor’s degree (for those seeking master’s degrees) that is not Italian and that permits entrance to the Italian university system;
- don’t reside in Italy;
- apply to one or more of the degree programs listed above that are offered by the University of Padua and are taught entirely in English. Please keep in mind that you are eligible to apply to up to 3 degree programs.
You will be automatically considered for the selection process if you meet these prerequisites. The only specific documents needed to apply for a certain degree program are those needed to apply; no more applications or paperwork are needed.
